I appear to suck at computer games
Currently having my arse kicked by GTAIV. On about the fifth or sixth mission. My driving seems to have improved from "sucks so bad you don't even see the dust of the guy you're chasing" to "sucks so bad you get to watch the guy you're chasing speed away as you crash into some random bit of street furniture". I mean, don't get me wrong - I enjoy socially irresponsible vehicular homicide as much as the next girl, but shouldn't there be an "I am shit, please be gentle" difficulty setting somewhere?

ouch. your driving must indeed be a bit nightmarish, then, given there is a built-in setting that backs off the AI driving if you're not quite keeping up...

though personally, I cant talk about sucking at games, given at one point I decided to see if it was physically possible to play GTAIV sensibly, stopping at the traffic lights, observing speed limits, not doing random violence.... :)

If you're on one of the race missions, those do tend to be fairly painful to get through.

The only way I could drive sensibly in GTAIV was to use the 'over the bonnet' camera setting. Anything else caused me to oversteer horribly.

Also, it's worth slowing down and tapping the brakes when taking corners, and accellerating out.

and that's why I stick to Point-and-click adventure and puzzle games. ;)
