I aten't dead
It's like this. A while back my Gmail account got hacked (I suspect due to a bug in Gmail, also there's an outside chance it got keylogged, I suppose). As a result of this, I changed many passwords, my LJ one included. I then promptly forgot the LJ password. I asked for a password reset, but for reasons to dull to mention, it's taken until now to get the password reset to work.

Upshot, I am back on LJ and I have news.

I've been increasingly frustrated at work these last six months because it simply wasn't challenging me any more. I got burned out, and depressed, and eventually galvanised into doing something about it.

I am therefore starting a Graduate Diploma in Law at $local_place this September, with a view to pursuing a legal career. This is terrifying and exciting in equal measures. But on the whole I am happy. It's a big risk giving up a secure if not terribly well paid job, but I'm certain it's the right thing to do at this point.

I have no firm plans as to what direction I intend to go in - it has to be interesting, and has to allow me to remain in Oxford. We'll see what opportunities appear. It's unlike me to not have a master plan, but I'm OK with that.

Wish me luck.
