Let's face it, anyone with me in the "next to get married" pool really has the shitty end of the stick.

IRMFI? That's a new one on me.

To be honest it wouldn't surprise me if it's normal for "traditional" weddings. Just disappoint me.

My mum does them for about £250 (though only on an occasional basis) — rather less if you're related to her. :-)

Mind you, the figure of £900 from that web page appears to be for a six tier cake capable of feeding over 300 people.

try Waitrose (£165 approx) for three tiers of chocolate cake with chocolate fudge icing.

Or my friend Sue www.ivorycakes.co.uk makes designer wedding cakes to order
