Home that feline - Her Most Regal Majesty, the Queen of Snark

Home that feline
Here are some facts:

- Nineve is a very cute cat
- Nineve is my cat
- For reasons too complex to go into, Nineve can not live with me
- Instead Nineve lives 10 miles away with lanfykins
- lanfykins is unable to continue housing Nineve in the long term, since (a) she has not enough hands to give sufficient care and attention to 4 cats, and more importantly (b) she has three other cats who really need to go onto Senior cat food asap, which she can't really do until Nineve is out of the picture.

Therefore I am looking for somewhere else to house Nineve. I am happy to continue paying food and vetenary bills for her, but obviously in an ideal world I'd want her to end up as close to me as possible, and definitely a lot closer than 10 miles. Does anyone have any smart ideas or suggestions?

ETA I should probably make it clear that this would be a cat loan until some theoretical future time when I and Nineve can actually live in the same place.

You're in Oxford, arn't you? I have some friends in the Windsor area who were half considering getting a cat, but that's probably much too far away. Good luck finding somewhere!

Thanks. I'd rather not rehome her outside Oxford if I can possibly avoid it though.

Said friends are known to me too, and are very nice and reliable and probably worth talking to in the last resort.

For the record, I can confirm that Nineve is a very cute cat :)

Also bright and affectionate. I'd love to keep her, but it's just not really feasible.

I'm sure Mark would love it but I can't offer any accommodation closer than Cambridge I'm afraid :(

If you're stuck, we might be able to take her on (in Summertown) - with a couple of caveats:

1) Our cat is 7, and on old-cat food (IAMS 11+ dry food) as well as ordinary Arthur's.
2) We're probably getting another cat of our own around Christmas time, so she might have to go elsewhere at that point, 3 would be a bit of a handful for us.
3) How often would you be wanting to visit her? ms_saffie and I have fairly busy schedules, but we'd probably be able to fit in up to twice/week.
4) Ceefer's very laid back, and I think we'd want to have them meet first to see how she'd take a new cat.

Thanks for the offer, but I don't really want her to be on Senior food, as she's only 2.

As a last resort she can come and stay with us. (Note - I have not asked Elliott yet!) But the offer is there is there is no one closer!

P.s. Cat loaning is fun!
